Hospitals & Health
When a hospital falls, an entire region is left defenseless. We work to bring care back.
236 health centers affected
The earthquake damaged 236 hospitals and health posts. In Cali, referral hospitals such as Hospital Universitario del Valle suffered structural damage and were partially evacuated; entire clinics had to relocate to field tents.
On top of the emergency comes a silent risk: with 71 aqueducts affected, access to clean water and sanitation became critical, raising the danger of disease in the hit areas.
Priority needs: clean water, sanitation and hygiene, emergency medical care, medicines and psychosocial mental-health support.

Our approach to health
Care in isolated areas
We bring medical brigades and assistance to communities left cut off, especially in Chocó.
Hospital recovery
We support the rehabilitation of health posts and hospitals so they can operate safely again.
Water and prevention
We prioritize clean water, sanitation and hygiene to prevent disease outbreaks after the quake.
Help us bring medical care back
Every contribution strengthens hospitals, brigades and access to water in affected areas.
